Poe Pumpkins
October School Poe & Pumpkins

I’ve got October on the brain…but, then again, when do I not have October on the brain? I’m in the midst of planning for October School these days — both for my senior at home and my class on Outschool. This picture is from our Poe Poetry & Prose Teatime last year. My ideas for this year include works by Shirley Jackson, Bram Stoker, and, of course, Edgar Allan Poe. We’ll also be diving into some haunted poetry by various poets. I know we’ll decorate jack-o-lanterns, read & discuss some creepy poetry and stories, and enjoy popcorn and screams while we watch scary movies. What sorts of plans do you have for October? What is your favorite scary story? Do you have any horror-movie musts? I’ll be sharing my answers to these questions very soon.
